OUR HISTORY

Spruce City Sanitary Service Ltd., incorporated in 1966, has been a family-operated business from its inception. We have built a company with a reputation for providing exemplary service, professionalism and attention to detail with hands on involvement in all facets of waste management, retrieval and disposal that are second to none. We have now become a leading environmental and industrial service provider.

When legislation passed for Dangerous Goods and Special Waste, we were at the forefront and applied for our license to transport hazardous waste. We were the 33rd provincial applicant and our LT License is #0033.

When founders Paul & Simonne Bazinet started Spruce City Sanitary Service Ltd., it began as a one man, waste-disposal business. Today, we have grown into a leading hydrovac company that handles a vast network of service, waste management, and disposal, as well as provides a broad range of services. Mr. Paul Bazinet led the company until 2013 and decided to retire. The company is now owned by his son, Martin Bazinet, along with Paul's daughter Suzanne, who manages the day-to-day operations.

We have achieved steady growth, both geographically and in terms of service offerings, through the acquisition of new equipment and personnel in response to client needs. We provide comprehensive hazardous waste handling and disposal throughout Northern British Columbia. We acquired additional capabilities in industrial cleaning, with the acquisition of new equipment in August of 2019.

As we move forward, we continue to enhance our services to further broaden our daylighting, hydro excavation services, and waste disposal throughout our service area.

Today, we own a fleet of four Hydro Vac Units, and two large scale Pup Trailers, along with our spill response Trailer, a Bob Cat, Excavator and Pickup Trucks.
